AGP Consultants recognise the importance of sustainability in the social, environmental and economic context. As such, we aim to provide building services design solutions which do not affect the ability of future generations to meet their needs. This principle is integrated into every design at every available opportunity.

AGP Consultants undertake energy strategy reports, SAP calculations EPC Certification and BREEAM assessments.

AGP Consultants will always, in association with other design team members, strive to achieve an excellent or at least “Very good” BREAM rating for projects we work on and design. We generally recommend that a BREAM assessor should be employed as part of the team to advise and implement a rating assessment.

We are accredited to provide BREEAM and strive to achieve an excellent BREEAM rating whilst being cognizant of the Employers Requirements.

As part of our sustainability aims and in accordance with our Environmental Policy, AGP Consultants will:

  • Promote the use of benign materials from sustainable sources.
  • Specify materials from totally sustainable sources, or at least where environmental impact is low, whenever the opportunity arises.
  • Develop, propose and implement sustainable process and product solutions.
  • Develop and implement practices across the supply team that prevent pollution, responsibly use resources and minimise detrimental impacts that our designs could have upon the environment.
  • Establish and develop sustainable relationships, based on mutual trust, with all parts of the supply team, including respect for the workforce – recognising that integrated teams perform better and safer to everyone’s benefit.
  • Inform and support our local communities and stakeholders.
  • Protect our assets and those of our customers, employees and stakeholders.
  • Provide appropriate training for our employees, to ensure that safety, quality and environmental responsibilities and considerations are included in all aspects of our business.
  • Maintain professional safety, quality and environmental personnel to support and advise management and employees.

AGP Consultantsp, as part of the Design Team are in a unique position to design, specify and oversee sustainable construction as we are generally appointed at the consultation and design brief stage prior to any site works commencing. Using this initial time to implement our sustainable and environmental policies is essential in achieving our overall vision.
